Andrew Kalemba of Burke Street, Plains Township, died Thursday morning at the
Wilkes-Barre General HospitalBorn in Plains Township, he was a son of the late Peter and Mary Govlier Kalemba.
He was educated in Plains Township schools and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains.
He was employed by Scott Grocery, Plains Township.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Zaremski; brothers, Kile, Paul and Joseph Kalemba.
Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Kalinowski; daughters, Mrs. Tony (Doreen) Tarnilicki, Plains Township; Mary Ann, at home; two grandsons; sisters, Mary Filipinni, Elenore Hallas, and Agnes Dombrowski, all of Plains Township; Julia Grumsey, Springfield, Mass.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 S. River St., Plains, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Church.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
